Hockey Field Report for Sutherland Shire Council

Project Introduction

TK Business Group was engaged by Sutherland Shire Council to undertake a comprehensive condition assessment of the Sutherland Hockey Club facility, including the clubhouse, synthetic hockey field, and associated site infrastructure. The assessment supports Council's long term asset management, maintenance planning, and future capital investment decisions.

Project Background

As part of Council's ongoing asset management program, the Sutherland Hockey Club facility required a detailed assessment to evaluate the condition of key building assets, sporting infrastructure, and external civil works. The project incorporated multidisciplinary inspections, including structural engineering and synthetic sports field performance assessments, to identify renewal priorities and inform future maintenance strategies.

Project Scope

The project included comprehensive inspections of the clubhouse, synthetic hockey field, player amenities, roofs, drainage systems, fencing, retaining walls, pathways, irrigation infrastructure, and surrounding site assets. TK Business Group coordinated specialist engineering inspections and developed condition ratings, remaining asset life assessments, preventative maintenance recommendations, and a 10-year Forward Works Program to support Council's long term asset management objectives.

A key highlight was the integration of building, structural, civil, and sports field assessments into a single asset management framework, providing Council with practical recommendations to extend asset life while planning for future facility upgrades.
